High levels of MSG, monosodium glutamate and lead levels were traced in the latest batch of maggi products when tested recently in India. These levels would put the consumers at great risk of unwanted dangerous effects from MSG and lead.
Nestle recalled a large batch of its maggi products from the market.
Nestle released a statement that they do submit their product for regular analysis of lead levels as per mandated regulations.
The glutamate is added during the manufacture of the maggi product in India and that could have showed up falsely as Monosodium glutamate as per a press release from Nestle.
Maggi is much loved product in India and widely consumed and Nestle should ensure it is safer for consumption.
