CDC listed India as level -4 risk in its travel advice to India. CDC advised all USA residents to avoid travel to India due to high incidence of Covid-19 in India since May, 2020.
The CDC released the following travel advice as well:
1.If you must travel, get tested with a viral test 1-3 days before your trip. Do not travel if you are waiting for test results, test positive or are sick.
2. During travel wear a mask. Stay atleast 6 feet from people who are not travelling with you. Use hand sanitizer to wash your hands and watch your health for signs of illness
3.Before travelling to USA, get tested with a viral test 1-3 days before travel. Follow latest recommendations from airlines.
4. After travel- Get tested 3- 5 days after travel and stay at home for 7 days after travel or for 10 days if not tested
5. If someone is exposed to Covid-19 patient, then isolate and quarantine from other, get tested and monitor ones health.
